I recently put Bilstein HD struts up front on my 1994 e34 Touring (3.0L) and the front end sits about an inch higher now. Is this normal? I triple checked with Bilstein to make sure they were the correct struts.

If the lower and upper control arms were loosened to manipulate the strut housings during install, were the body-side bolts retorqued under load?
Do a search for more info -- there's a lot on suspension height.
