Getrag parts in Australia

Hello,

I was searching and i found a topic about getrag boxes http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthr...trag+commodoreand discovered to my shock that they come on some commodores.
now i was wondering apart from the Casing, belhousing and input and output shafts are the g-boxes the same as the trusty getrag that inhabit our cars (of course that is, if the gearbox is of the same type no.)

you see i would like to refresh my 265 in my e28 however if this is the case it could make matter's simplier than a rebuild.

Hope other chip in here. If I cant find a replacement at some time in the future, my trusty old 260/6 will need a rebuild and at this point, I have not had much luck finding a reputable builder that will do in WA.
