Oil Change Recommendations for Calgary
Hey all,
Should I just be sticking with my 5w-30 habits on the BMW when I do the oil change?
Calgarys climate tends to be a little colder then most of the guys on this forum it seems so I don't think 10w-30 would work as well but wondering what you guys might recommend for me.
I already have OEM BMW Filter, just goign to pickup oil today after work, wash the car, do the oil change, install the chip, recheck all fluids, take it for a rip.

I would just follow the instructions in the owners manual.
5-W30 is for areas with - 40 F. to abt. +20 F.
10W30 : -20 to 40 F.
I now drive all year round 15-W40 or before 10W 40, but we have seldom snow and summer time it is up to around 100 F.
