    Default remus exhaust

Can anyone tell me if Remus makes a cat-back exhaust for the 1995 540i that is avaliable in the states. I heard the E39 remus exhuast. I wonder if I can expect similar sound. Anybody out there got remus on the 540i?

    Default remus

I did some research on available exhausts earlier this year. As it turned out, Remus used to make an exhaust for the E34 540i but stopped doing so a few years back.

So unless you can find one sitting in someones wharehouse, you wont get one now.

I ended up going for the Eisenmann rear box - very happy with the results.

    Cheers

Hard to say. Eisenmann promised about 2-5% hp increase - ie about 5-15hp improvement.

It is pretty hard to detect this sort of change, and when you combine the fact that the car sounds faster, the improved feeling is hard to pin down.

But the net effect is certainly the impression, if not the reality, of it being faster.

    Cheers

I have an Eisenmann muffler on my 535i. It sounds faster. Love that placebo effect.
