Default Retrofitting M5 gauges into 525?

I saw Billb's gas gauge post on the 3'er forum yesterday and started thinking about changing the gauges in my car.

I don't care if the gauge face says "M5" (I actully prefer it not to), but I am interested in the oil temp readout where the econometer is.
Is it possible to disassemble our gauge cluster, pull out the econometer and retrofit the oil temp into that space?
If so, other than that part of the gauge, what would I need and how difficult do you reckon it would be (i.e. would I be running an oil line into the compartment)?

Look up an etk for an M5... I think the oil temp sensor is in the engine compartment, and just wires back to the instrument cluster.

You would be much better fitting the whole cluster, to get the red needles and 300km/h speedo. IMHO. I don't think they say M5, just have a subtle ///M badge in the center of the cluster.
