sometimes the diodes in the alternator can go bad and cause a drain problem, but usually it will kill the battery overnight or over a couple days...just a guess.

Hello all. I am VERY new to this board. I commonly frequent the Boxster Board as a result of owning a 1997 Boxster and picked up a new 2006 BMW 530 for a back seat for the kids. I LOVE this car but I keep getting a "High Battery Drain" warning each morning. The dealer cannot find the problem and the odd part is if I let the car sit a few days, it DOESNT come on. I dont know if this is a problem, computer glitch or what. I have confirmed all lights are off, doors closed, etc. Any ideas? Thank you for the help!

Let the dealer sort it out... It is brand new... Maybe you need to consult with regional BMW tech rep on this matter.
