Although I've had this battery in the bimmer since 2000, the battery seems to be going strong but on the GF's car, we had to replace it a few weeks ago after just less than 3 yrs of ownership. So right now, I got mixed reviews about it. Anyway, I will not buy another Int'l Diehard 'cause it's too expensive...

After several trips to the store I finally found an Optima that fits! Our cars (under the seat battery) uses a group 34r optima red top battery. It requires the contacts to be on opposite side.
FWIW i found a hella battery that seems idential to the BMW battery that came out.....
