My initial guess was that it had to do with interior build specs or wiring specs for the particular car
Someone translate it for me ... I want to know what the numbers in the SA: field mean (I'm assuming they're options)

I think it says you just won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes.
I found a couple of things: the SA numbers:
240 Airbag
458 Electronic seats
925 'Dispatch protection package'
240 - leather steering wheel with airbag
458 - electric front seats
472 - front centre arm rests
640 - telephone preparation
694 - preparation for cd changer
818 - main battery switch
925 - shipping protection package
Before you start searching for 818 main battery switch: you do not have it anymore. That is only for transport from Germany to the dealer.

Thanks for the info guys.Very informative. Regardless of how much I know about these cars, there's something new I come across every day. It's like a encyclopedia on wheels.

POLS probably means the uphosltery color, Silber = silver, produced in hall 52.0, in pre-assembling line # 5, WKAL = Wochenkalender= production week (internal in BMW), FGNR = Fahrgestellnummer = VIN
That is like the birth certificate of your car.
Uhrzeit = time: 15.59= 3.59 PM exactly.
thats a slip from the strip, you ran a 15.59, congrats
Wow, thanks. Now I shall go and try to find a way to figure out the week it was made in.Originally Posted by shogun
