Where is the Hi-Fi amplifier?

Hi - I have a 1996 525 TDS Touring and the Blaupunt sterio has stopped working. I have checked the Blaupunt - and it works fine. There appears to be no electrical connection between the speaker wires (that connect the radio to the loom) and the speakers. I have checked the speakers - and they are all OK. Looking at the achive I can find reference to the Hi-Fi amplier positioned in the boot (trunk) in the saloons - but where is it in the Touring? I've looked under the rear seat and in the two compartments either side near the tailgate - I am totally confused! Thanks for any help!

Try looking in the A-style...
If I'm correct there should be a place for the amplifier.
At least near the left front speaker.
