It just changes one of the parameters for the ECU. (forget which air/fuel advance/retard ??)
But like all gizmos something else suffers. turn it to get low end power, high end suffers as well a fuel economy.

Have you tried it? Yeah, I didn't think so, or you wouldn't underestimate the abilities of the knob. Man, I smoked an Enzo yesterday thanks to this thing. But you'll never know its power. It's sad, really.
Oh, by the way, you can have it. Five bucks.

The hits just keep on coming - someone must be buying this garbage, or we wouldn't keep seeing it again and again. What I don't get is that whoever buys it has to be at least adept enough to get it installed - and anyone who knows enough to do that should also know it's such complete BS . . . I don't understand.

Where do you suppose they instruct you to hook it up?
What I don't get is that it claims only to add more fuel to the engine. To get more power, you need more fuel AND more air. You can only get more air by opening the throttle more. Otherwise, you're just making the mixture richer, which will result in LESS power.
