Default Replacing hydraulic dampers for bonnet and decklid

Where can I get them, and what do they cost? Is installation easy?

    Thanks!

I got mine from the stealer.
Installation is a snack, just be careful the boot (trunk) lid doesn't slam on you - it is heavy !

These are the ones that I bought. This guy is great to deal with and the struts are German made with the original BMW part number on them. Even with the postage costs you should save some money. The stealer wanted to charge me about AU$67.00 each!!! As you can see these are AU$44.00 each. The install takes about 5 minutes for the pair and the only tool I used was a flat head screwdriver to help me pop the clips.

    Thank you.

I might try Canadian Tire for some generic ones before ordering from overseas.

I would also say they're gas lifts, not hydraulic.
