    Default automatic shifter handle

    hi guys, anyone ever changed their auto shifter handle? my brother has an e39 and i love the type of shifter his car has, anyone knows if i can use onr of those on my car? is it a direct swap? or is there any modification to do to use it?

    Are you talking about the 'vertical' style as used with the steptronic?

    Default Yes, George Mann and a number of other people have changed it over. Circle

    Bmw used to sell kit that consisted of all the pieces that you need to change. Here's link to one of the e32 pages that George posted on. If you search there you'll find more info

    Default It's a great upgrade for autos,

    took a couple of hours to change. You can purchase parts from BMA.

    Hmm, that is kinda cool. I think. Is it?

    Any way to get the full surround with the leather gaiter, as on the E39? Without the gaiter I think it looks out of place.
