is there anyway to get a new door handle or another color/design for a 95 525i? as you all know the stock one is the black one. i want something like the new BMWs handles, something with color. is it possible?

it is very easy to remove the trim peices
around the handles.At the back off each door above the latch is a little port with (sometimes) a rubber bung.The port gives you access to a sliding latch arrangement.Push it forward(a long scewdriver and a little hammer) and the trim will fall off.You need to make a little hook in a stiff wire about 1 foot long
to pull the latch back You could paint them.To remove the handles themselves invoves two torx screws.I am not sure if you have to remove the inside door panels to remove the handles.Once you had themoff it woyld be simple to paint them too!
