Default When did E34's get repeater lights as standard?

I was looking at this auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-5...86115742QQrdZ1

saw the narrow grille & repeater lights on the side of the fender - I didn't think they were standard then.

    '95 on US spec cars.

It's basically a Euro fender. Pete, the other mechanic I work with, is rebuilding the body on his E30. Bought a set of Euro fenders with the holes pre-cut because they're *cheaper* than the standard US spec ones...plus, the lights are cool.

There are a few ways to get it done on an earlier e34:

    1) Buy parts from the front clip on a late E34 (done a lot).
    2) Cut the current fenders (instructions to do this are in TIS, if I recall)
    3) Buy new fenders with the holes precut, prime and paint, install the lights.

    best, whit

I think US spec guards (repeater-less) would look great on a car without the US spec bumper-repeaters....

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

    And then...

The reference is to the extra turn signal lights mounted in the fender. Not the side marker lights that are part of the front/rear bumpers.

I don't know why anyone would want them. I think without them it's a much cleaner look.

    Default looks cleaner without but...

I like the extra notification that you are turning. I wish the mirrors had this feature as well. I even would like "puddle" lights under the mirrors when you unlock the doors. go figure!

i like 'em, but wish they weren't so big looking. e39 sidemarkers and late e36 sidemarkers look much better.

there was a e34 that added the e34 sidemarker where side molding piece is on the fender. looks like the marker is intergrated into the molding. looks pretty good imho.

Default Actually, '94 was the first year:)

I have a 9/94 build date that has those side markers.
