1990 535i door - catch 22

RR door wont unlock. I can not even pull up
the door lock post near window. I need to remove the interior
trim to access the lock mechanism. I can not remove
trim without openning the door. All other doors lock/unlock
with key/fob . Any suggestions ? Do I need to destroy
the trim and replace?
