Default Just made 100,000km today on my E34....

She still rides nice and quiet. yet ma passion for her grows everyday. And thx alot for the support you guys give here. I have so far fixed these issues while on this board.

    1. Fusible link
    2. Cut wires on trunk hinge, caused issues with central lock (unlocking upon lock up)
    3. Cleaned the ICV and cured hunting Idle.
    4. Front end noises.
    5. Coolant bleeding
    6. etc etc.

    thx

    Great people here.

Man, that's like a brand new car compared to mine. Last night I crossed over the 175,000 MILES = 280,000 km.

I sprayed the hell out of mine with carb cleaner. Pretty good result, idle is still a little bouncy every now and then though.

Thx for the replies DIY Engineers. Initially I used to have a Rough/hunting Idle on cold startups, swapped out the ICV with a used one. Hunting Idle lessened, then occasionary Idle revved high about 1200 in Neutal. So I decided to peep in the ICV Poor thing was all coated black inside, and would hardly move. I half soaked it in WD40 took 30 mins to get it look shinny again, I used dust blaster to blow out the dirt, I reconnect it and boy oh boy......ICV is like new now rev in neutral is now about 800 when I engage drive in drops to 500 which I believe is very close to normal.

    thx.

At 100kkm,it's barely broken in.I've clocked 450kkm.Changed the engine with a used one at 350k coz of cylinder head issues.Still runs like a champ with a reachable top end of 220km/h with the rev at 6.5k (cut out rev).Enjoy...
