J.McWatters
He is not that rich. He owns a small insurance agency with his partner and both are Alpina. That is why they have 2 Alpina as company cars, one of them the E34 Touring.
He is frequently checking for offers in Alpina's with complete history and in original state or worth to restore. He rented a small storage building/hall where they do the restauration work.
Puts all his money into Alpina's.
I do hope that my E32 750iL Highline project will go as smooth as his restauration work.
Highline were built less than 5.000, that is one of the reasons I opted for the Highline and the V12. I have now 2 Highline, one as back-up for parts.
Was that Touring really an auto? How bizarre. Love the blue and white combo though.
~6 speed~ Rear Fogs ~ Shadowline ~ Tow Package ~ OEMMM///S38B38
The 3.0 Allrad Touring would be a dream car. (Edit: Acording to the Alpina site, 74 were made) Been searching around a little so see if they are available. 525iX Tourings on the net are 3-5k Euros. Reading some import stories, it does not seem too difficult to bring one in.
The 3.0 is essentially a 2.5 bored out so maybe it would not be a problem either?
