    Does anyone have an idea what the original sticker price of a 1990 535ia was?

    Default And I've read that it went down $5k or so after 1989.

    I think BMW trimmed a little production fat and needed to sell more, so dropped the price.

    My '91 535i 5-speed had a base price of $42,600 according to my DMV records.
