There is no flow arrow on the valve so I had to use this method. I positioned it so that the side I could blow from was on the opposite side of the PCV valve (ie it could suck). This was opposite of how it was shown in the pic I posted. Air flows from the black to the white side. We'll see how this works. I was getting a odd code from the stomp test before reversing the valve. One short blink followed by a long blink, over and over again. I reset the codes (hold the pedal down for 10 sec) and it's now back to 1444. After my drive to work tomorrow I'll check the codes again to see if the valve was causing this.

BTW, this car has a 5/95 build date and was originally sold in New Jersey. After 3 years it made it's way out to CA and has been here since. So the extra crap I've got isn't some oddball CA emissions stuff like lots of cars get.
