    Default Light problem

can someone suggest further troubleshooting options for me please..

here's the problem. RIGHT (passenger side) low beam does not function. I changed the bulb and swapped with the working side just to make sure and it's NOT THE BULB.

High beams do work, as do all the other lights.

Fuses are fine. i pulled em to make sure..

I did the LKM fix about a year ago with a soldering iron.. i took it out to check.. re-soldered.. there doesn't seem to be any problem with it.

However.. I WILL go swap it with another e34 (once i find one) to be sure that's not the problem. hopefully earlier next week. which begs the question.. are ALL lkm's for e34 compatible?

Now.. if it's not that.. what else could it be? it's possible the morons at the parts store (or maybe i am the moron for not checking) gave me a 100watt bulb and i may have fried he circuit.

another thing.. there sometimes is no low beam error on the obc.. and other times there is. during neither of these times is the lowbeam working.

has anyone got a wiring diagram? this is really starting to bug me and it's only a matter of time before the cops pull me over

also, incidentally i have the depot eye lights. doubt that makes any difference.

    any help is appreciated

    100 W bulb?
Oh, oh, look what they did to my wires inside the cap behind the headlights. Cables completely fried, just bare wire partly and I had to resolder the small wires. That is for a 12 V H1 bulb. I used the 100W bulbs just for 3 days and that is the result

And that is how the reflectors looked like

    thanks dude.

ok another interesting(?) thing i found is pulling fuses.. i swapped out the right low-beam one as mentioned

    BUT

when i pulled the common fuse #2, which is tied to all the lights:

    high beam left
    low beam left
    high beam right
    low beam right

the left low beam still worked? i would assume that it would go off.. no?

    god help me lol
