what should my 540i/a idle at?

it has been idling at 475-500 since the weather started to change, i read somewhere it should be 600+/-50.
what should i check?

my 3.0 m60 does about 500-700. if it idles smoothly and don't die then its not a big deal. everything working alright?

Mines 500 dead on, in neutral & drive too.

Mine isn't a 540, but it idles at a little over 500.
