    Default remote key for a 2003 model...

    where besides the dealer can I buy the remote key for a 2003 3 series?

    AFAIK, the keys are coded to the vehicle. A key from any other source than BMW, with the correct code installed, should not work. Theoretically, the car computer reads the key code and will not enable the car if it doesn't match.
