stack em and tape them together so it is one package and you will save big time Bill.

Put a pair into a box and separate it with two pieces of cardboard. Use Fedex Ground... they are so much cheaper than UPS.

Shipped 4 Borbet 16" about 9 months ago. Each got its own box (no tires) and it cost me $12/box -- $50 for the whole thing. They were traveling from NC to CT or NH (somewhere up there).

Let me be the first to say that UPS sucks at shipping wheels, not to mention anything else that's heavy and/or bulky, if they aren't properly packaged. Those pretty style 5s will be destroyed or lost if they're strapped together. Plus, UPS will likely charge an additional $5 handling fee on anything that isn't surrounded by cardboard.

    best, whit

FedEx is often much cheaper... did you price them? I've got a friend who runs and ebay business and he uses FedEx and Forward Air exclusively... and he is a penny pincher to the extreme!

Fedex Ground is the way to go. I just sent a 57 pound wheel w/tire from Alabama to Atlanta for $12.

Default Thanks Guys for the fedex recommendation, i even checked

with greydog... Fedex is the best price it seems and instead of 7 to 9 day ups ground its 3 to 4 day fedex... Jeff, i priced it with 2 wheel boxes taped together and separately, separate was cheaper Here's some price comparisons

Arizona to Washington 1 wheel UPS 19.47 Fedex 13.93 The stock wheel and box weighs about 19 lbs.

Arizona to CT. UPS 23.69 each for 2 wheels... Fedex 16.10 Each, if i taped 2 wheel boxes together and shipped them fedex it was 35.61 versus 32.20 if shipped in boxes not taped together...
