Only had 35k miles on it and was in very nice shape. I have read that some years have an oil consumption problem. What years are the good ones or the ones to stay away from?

had oval piston rings I believe. These early production motors were the ones that used a lot of oil. I used to know the production date, but it eludes me right now. I want to say up until 6/01.

Yes it was nice. Totally a different ride and handling then my tweaked 535. When I drove away in my car my son said Dad your car really goes pretty good too. Have not made a decision yet but I am going to keep looking. Mt son did say think what we could do if we put a turbo on yours!

If I had that much money, I would rather buy a '95 3.8l E34 M5 and turbo charge it. Just my point of view.Originally Posted by Ted K
