Gonna wait till I have a 1500 to 2000 miles on it before I uncork it. Has about 750 or so now. No hurries really as I have been waiting to do this a long time.

Of course I'll share once I do get all that stuff.

shouldnt that have a in there somewhere Martin?<worried look>

I am very interested in this I have always been just a teeny bit disapointe in the "grunt" of the m30....i think a 3.7 "tourque" engine would be my pick, allied with a six speed and high gearing

    Default I should clarify.

Jeffro swung by for a spin last night. It pulls well. It doesn't leak any prescious fluids. The motor seems tight, in a newly machined way.

The level of the motor demands a better cam; my opinion. I think Jub would be happier with some 284 cam.

    Default yes...

I think it's pretty clear to me that MM "tunes" their motors for lighter cars than our E34s. This motor would be total hell in an E3 or something. That said, a little more mid range grunt wouldn't hurt vs. waiting for this one to spool up.

May be able to tune so of this out, may just have to pony up for the schrick 282 camshaft. I recall Joe S. saying it comes on hard at 3k. Mines rolling on about about 3.7k now.
