Default How easy is it to drain the fuel tank?

When I replaced the fuel filter the other day, I let the excess fuel drain into a clean bowl. After changing the filter, I had a look at the fuel in the bowl, and noticed there was quite a lot of grit/rust/dirt/something in the bowl... I know this is a common problem, but I am paranoid about my car getting sick again...

I believe all the original tanks have drain plugs at the bottom.

If this is what you choose to do siphon as much as you can then drain the remaining, replug it, add a couple gallons and slosh it around in any appropriate way then immediately drain that before it settles back to the bottom.
