    Default My UUC Track transmission mounts came!

    Project for tomorrow! It looks like it anyway!

    They're solid mounts with aluminum reinforcers... transmission vibration increases only minutely... stiffens drivetrain 200%

    Default Don't forget the motor mounts

    If they are soft/stock, your bell housing & end cone will be subject to the engine torque.

    where from, how much, do they work.....

    tell all once you have them installed and tested please

    damm, i just replaced my transmission mounts. can you show me link to where I can purchase these, and how much are they?

    erm, martin... i hope you're joking?

    If not, and unfortunately I think you're not... do you realize what difference track transmission mounts make?

    Quoted from UUC website:

    It's completely noticeable. There is some slight slight cabin vibration (think first gear when starting up a hill and letting RPMs dip...) if you can call it that, its just transferring more transmission movement into the chassis, but its not noticeable. G/F hasn't mentioned it yet.

    in the good old racing days, putting on solid steel motor mounts with a rubber trans mount would guarantee a busted trans case. A solid trand mount with rubber engine mounts would guarantee a busted trans case.

    Thanks for the warning jeff but they're not solid, theyre hard hard rubber, and they've been around for a long time... M3s use them no issue.

    I used larger gearbox mounts for the early 320i. They are much beefier thant the e34 535 mounts, & were recommended by a local indy shop.
