i dont get why people want traction control. First thing i do when i get in my car is turn it off.
Is it possible to add traction contol? It's got ABS but not the ASC feature ... since ASC uses ABS, is it possible, is it an easy addition?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Ken

And, no, I don't think it'd be easy -- have to redo most of the brake system.
best, whit
no, you need alsorts, the abs module doesnt usually have the ability to brake rear wheels independantly it just uses the same setting for each, so you need the asc hydrolic unit
you also need to fit the electronic throttle assembly as it uses that to alter engine speed
you need to fit the ecu
the list goes on, so answer is yes you can but too many parts required. also not entirely sure if your engine can have the electronic throttle system
It would be nice to have it on the wet days on beaten roads ... starting from red lights it will break traction because the pavement is too slick.Originally Posted by bimmerd00d
I see it as a nice to have feature, when you need it ... such as when you know it's slick out with rain or snow.

That is 1200 miles a week, right? Is that like 4 hours a day in the car?
