Slightly OT: What a sad ending to 8ers

Do many 8er parts fit E34?? I know about brakes, but diff centres/drive shafts?? Interior tricks?? Dimming interior light (My 90 535i doesnt do it)?

We just stuck a power tilt/telescoping steering column from an 850csi into an E34.

Said E34 already had the memory wiring harness installed, but the column could probably be tricked out to work regardless of what the potentiometers are doing.

I'm in the process of installing memory stuff in my car. I've got a power telescoping column and am considering foregoing installing it and finding a tilt one instead...

I think the GMII in the later E31, which I'm relatively certain is the source of the dimming lights, won't fit in the E34 rear power distribution box. I might check it out tomorrow...
