I installed Bremi's on my E34 525i M50tu, ran it for 80k miles with ZERO problems whatsoever. It was strictly a preventive replacement, and the bosch ones i remember being much more expensive back when i did it. My E39 came stock with Bremi's
I am most likely going to have to replace one of my coil packs. Local stealers want $90+ for them so I checked BMA.
They have two different packs
1) a Bosch for $58.55
2) a Bremi for $46.02
Of course those prices are before any discounts or shipping charges.
Any opinions on which ignition coil is better?

car, the bosch aftermarket wires aren't the same as what your car originally came with

And this is fun: My GF's Saturn dumped its fuel pump at 65K miles. Bosch unit, motor only: $290. No sending unit, just the whirry-go-round.
I bought my 1975 2002 for $200.
Also, there's a place by me that has a decent web inventory and seemingly decent prices. I don't know how they are, service-wise. But coils were listed for $43.55. Didn't state which brand. http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/index.htm
Just because it's got the bosch name on it doesn't mean that it's worth of whatever design or durability premonitions one might have regarding the company. A lot of Bosch stuff is made in locations associated with lower manufacturing quality.
I'd go with the bremi over bosch.
best, whit
does Lemforder make coils?
