where can u get them? how much etc?
A lot of people asked about the 3mm spring pads that I used on my car. Here's a couple pictures of the 3mm pad next to the factory 9mm pad. Changing to these should give you an extra 1/4" of drop in the front. I just used these with M5 springs on the touring yesterday.

Got them from 2 different dealers here in town. Part # 31 33 1 128 523 (Thanks to DrewZ). They cost me $3.65/each at one and $3.87/each at another dealer.

If you go to the online parts database: www.realoem.com ...you could look up the diagrams for the E34 M5 suspension first (since we know that the M5 came with a lowered suspension)...once you find the part # which is 31331128523 (3mm SPRING PAD UPPER) ... you can input the part number into the cross reference link (located on the bottom of the home page of realoem.com (where it says "search by part #") ... and you'll find all of the BMW models that use this 3mm upper spring pad...click the following link and then choose the link that says "Details on e34" and you will be able to see the diagrams for the E34: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref....8523&showus=on
Although the 535i & 530i/iT & 525iT aren't listed...they all use the same 9mm upper spring pad...so the 3mm upper spring pad can be used in these models, too. As Brodee has mentioned (and others)... using the BMW 3mm upper spring pad in conjuction with M5 coil springs or any of the M-Tech (lowering suspension) coil springs...you can obtain a modest drop between 1/2" up to 1" and still use the regular Boge struts/shocks.
