    Default A/C LOW air flow

Newbie here...first post! I am also not very mechanically inclined when it comes to autos. However, thought I would post my problem and see if there is anything I could check before I incur a costly repair bill. BTW, I do have the Bentley service manual. My problem is that the air flow on the A/C is cold, but very low volume. With the current temps in the Denver area exceeding 100 degrees, driving is unbearable. Any thoughts on what the problem(s) may be? Thanks...

Not very fun to change the microfilter, but well worth it.

I saw that in the Bentley and thought that could be the problem! Thanks guys. Can you run it without a filter until I can get one?

Would you run your house A/C without one?

Considering that many e34s didn't even come with a microfilter, I don't think it's a terribly bad Idea - unless of course you are sensitive to allergies, etc in the air.

You mean I could spend the time tearing out the glove box, trim panels, etc. and find out that I don't even have one?

No, you don't have to tearing it apart...just to find that your bimmy doesn't have m/c equipped.

Refer to the service bulletins, only the models after 1991 are equipped w/ m/c.
