    Default E30 318 vibration

Just yesterday, my car (1984 318i 5-speed) contracted a nasty vibration on the way home, approaching the top of a hill. The vibration is constant, whether in gear or not, moving or not, clutch engaged or disengaged, so I beleive it to be inside the engine somewhere, but am not sure. Flywheel maybe? Any ideas are appreciated.

You have to put the car on a lift and have a look on it from underneath.
Could be even such a simple thing like a broken/defective engine mount.

Just wondered if you worked out what the cause of this was, as I have a similar problem with my 89 318?
