Need info on E39

Im looking to get a E39 528i 97-99 need an update to the E34. Where can i find info on what to look for when buying this car, also what to watch out. Any help would be great. Im looking for something arround 100k miles auto or stick no matter, i like both, with sport BBS deep dish rims. Color as long as its not purple, Gold, Green. And something in AZ. But I just need the "What to watch out for site."

You're in luck!! The latest issue of BIMMER magazine (Aug/05) has a comprehensive buyer's guide write-up. No, you can't download it...but you can go to your local bookstore/magazine store (Barnes & Noble/ Borders) and purchase one. It is worth the stand price. Everything you want to know about the E39 5 series and some stuff you didn't even know existed is in the article. This issue is a definite KEEPER!
