Stay on topic there G.Feller. This thread would never have been started if the originator had read and understood the entire article.

But since you raised the issue, our country would not be anything close to what is today without the profit incentive.

    Profit crosses all political boundaries.

I suppose John Kerry (liberal whiner #2) married the widow of the $127MM Heinz fortune for altruistic reasons.

I suppose the patriarch (that's father to you youngsters) of the Kennedy clan (father of liberal whiners #3,4 & 5) didn't really make his family's fortune smuggling alcohol into the US during prohibition.

Can anyone think of other examples?

When you decide to buy the Volvo 244 w/AT, manual windows and 165-R15 tires, I may be interested in your E34...but you'll have to remove any and all rainbow decals .

Default Gee Paul, and here I thought that i read and understood the whole thing-

All those big words must have thrown me off...
It curious to me how your typical bellicose right winger has to resort to terms like liberal whiner when confronted with an article like this..
Thanks for the explanation of those big words too...
Here's the full economic report if you'd like to see some real B.S
Also since you wanted to see any other examples of profit crossing all boundaries here's a little more current one
and speaking of patriarch's lets not forget Preston Bush and Nazi profiteering
I agree that profit does cross all boundaries but i didn't think that obscene profits should be accepted as the norm...wait, my mistake, you have to possess morals or a conscience to think like that...

Bill, Sorry to hear you had trouble with the big words. Us bellicose right wingers prefer to stay in the background while we count our money, crush the underlings around us and scheme to get that next USED BMW. But when an otherwise intelligent individual consciously overlooks the portion of the article that clearly contradicts the thread title I'm compelled to put you in the Whiner category.

I'm absolutely baffled how you ignored the part that says "The report does not recommend that burger-flippers be counted alongside factory workers"

I've got no problem with you distorting the article to meet meet some personal agenda....but if you do it publicly you should expect to be challenged.

    Have a nice day.

Default Gee Paul did I forget to put a question mark on the end of the thread title...?

You're absolutely right Paul, it was done consciously kind of like those grabber headlines you see on Drudge or the fox networks...and it looks like
a whole lot of people read that article too...Here are some more articles on the same thing
You just click on the little headings at the bottom of the article for the source info...
