Reply With Quotemost likely yes. There was a good discussion a few days ago on this very subject. The M50 seems prone to have this issue. I would soak up the oil around the plug(s) and change your valve cover gasket ASAP.

Oil in spark plug wells
My 93 525 w/M50 has a pool of oil in 3 spark plug wells. Is this caused by the valve cover gasket leaking?
