    Default E34 Forever?

I Love the e34 (525 90) but I realised today that this model is getting older and older! Do u think that the best car that keeps the good shape and aerodynamics in time is going through the end of its life? Do u think that in a short period from now we are going to talk about e39's or e60's and we will never discuss again about e34??

I have a 91 and 95 525i and have no plans to replace them anytime soon. Sure they need some repairs but compared to a new car payment they are worth it.

well after about another 150k miles and I get another engine it should be good for about another 300k...I dont really see the end of mine unless it gets smashed or rusts.

Sadly I think now's the time all the 1988-92 e34's owned by disinterested owners will be going to the scrap-man - here in the UK there are no shortage of breakers with 2 or 3 E34's in their yards. If there was a way to "stock take" the remaining e34's now and in 18 months time we would have an answer to paschalisg's question. Just an observation chaps, please all don't get upset at me!

    Cheers,

    Shaun

i was at first decidedly against anything after 1996
as all the electronics and new stuff interfere with the
    driving experience...

but there are so many new cars coming out that are
very very good that its silly to ignore them.

the e34 is staying as my daily until i finish school and
buy myself another car and then the e34 becomes my
toy =] huge turbo power m30 style =]

alfa romeo is coming back to the states as well....

I've got some issues, but it's all working it self out. I love this car.

Default Remember that there are many e28's around.

I think the e34 will be around for a while. Keep in mind that there are several boards dedicated to the e28, the predecessor of the e34. Once you start to see the e28's disappear, then I'd be concerned about the e34.

I think my next car, and the last car to have the true distinguished BMW styling will be an e38. I hope to get a 2001 740i sport in 2 or 3 years and maybe get an e39 touring.
