    Default rear wheel camber issue

my **** sits low, anyone have links to the fixer upper posts or write ups? Think I want to do this cause the car has settled in and the camber issue is just sickly looking to me. I lost all my good links and could use them back...lol.

    Default $$$$$

    Rear camber fixes get pricey.

We're talking stuff like the legendary lowered Dinan arms, cut bushings, and/or major surgery.

I think it would be cheaper to have a few beers until the camber starts appearing correct.

Only option is to replace the trailing arm bushings with eccentric ones (Koala motorsport and BavAuto sell them). I've said it a million times, but even though people sell adjustable rear shock mounts, I can't see how it's possible that they do anything because the trailing arms only pivot on one axis.

The M5 and Dinan rear subframes supposedly have adjustments for rear camber, as well.

Your camber probably isn't as far out as you think it is. What goes further out of spec on lowering is rear toe (which can be somewhat corrected with adjustable bushings) - which is much more responsible for tire wear. I'm lowered 1.57" all around, and my camber is still within spec unless I have a full tank of gas AND my stupidly heavy sub box in the trunk. My rear toe is, however, almost always out (but not by as much as I thought it would be).

    Jeff,
I had Kmac camber adjusters put in late last year and have just put on new tyres so I can't say if this will fix the problem yet. All I know is that my tyres wore out on the inside and the tread had separated from the sidewall in one spot. /_/----\_\ not good!

k, from this Id like to see a write up or some crap, the more beers I have the worse it looks so it must look really bad. the springs been there a year and sit as low in the rear as the BAV autos (if that rings any bells here). I remember write ups how to do the bushing trick but dont have the links anymore...thats where I could use help.

Really, the fix isn't easy or cheap. There's no writeup or trick because it's A) Just a matter of replacing bushings and going to an alignment shop -and B) Rarely done/necessary.

If you do replace the bushings, take the car to a very experienced and dedicated alignment shop to get the rear end aligned, because there's nothing normal about adjusting those bushings. It's not at all like "turn this to change toe" and "turn this to change camber" - it's like "turn either to do a little of both".

If you really think the problem is that bad (and I'd be shocked if it was), take the car to an alignment shop and get your suspicions confirmed before you start going nuts about this.
