Need Help Re: Fuel Pump
Well my fuel pump died the other day. No big deal, got the new pump, everything is going well until I try to remove the old pump from the tank. I pinched the two ears on the fuel pump bracket to release the assembly, gently pulling up and nothing. The bracket won't release I pull and pull but nothing. It looks like the bracket is being held down somewhere near where a fuel hose is attached. Has anyone out there had the same problem as I am and does anyone have a suggestion as how to get the bracket free.

Many thanks Janvier! I was finally able to free the pump bracket from the gas tank housing. I needed to use a small set of Vise-Grips to grab near where one of the fuel lines goes to the bracket. It was also interesting to see that the fuel pump housing was cracked almost 3/4 around near the top. Again many thanks for your assistance in this case.
