change outside mirrors

I just bought a '92 525 and want to change the mirrors out to the newer '93-'95 style. Are these a direct swap and where is a good place to find used mirrors?

Should be a direct fit, I've been thinking about the same swap. It's not too high on my list of future upgrades though. Sometimes used ones will show up on ebay. Here's a company that sells em new: http://www.bmwautobodypartstore.com/...M525I4747.html

Mechanically they will be a direct fit. You may need to modify the wiring harness. My experience with this may help you: http://home.comcast.net/~asilver33/mirror.htm

Thanks guys! The help I've seen so far on this site is so much better than the e36 and e30 communities that I come from.

I'll postup some pics of the cars if it ever stops raining.
