'94/95 540i stereo

Hey, im new to the bmw scene and was thinking about gettin a 94 or a 95 540i. I see they got tape units with cd changeres. My question is, right now i got 2 12" alpine subs and an alpine amp in my old car, will i be able to hook this up?
Also, what would be some things to check for when looking at a few possible cars i found?

Have the car inspected by a good mechanic before you purchase anything, hopefully the car will have a complete maintenance history. If not inspect even more thouroughly. Plan on spending 10k to get one in decent shape even if it only costs 4k plan on dumpong 6 to get it into great condition.

I found a 94 with 95k miles for $7,900 and a 95 with 138k miles for $8,900, both black & found on autotrader.com

look and drive both of them, chose you favorite and have it inspected. Check the maintenance records, when its on a lift check the engine block to see if the engine was replaced or if it is Nikasil. Alusil is the preferred block if you have a choice. the one that is better wins, mileage is nothing and the money is nothing. At that price these both should be almost in perfect condition with the 8900 variety not leaving you much money to work with and will probably bring you way over the 10k mark.
