Default m30 valve adjust frustration solved

Adjusting BMW valves since 1968 but seemed to have lost touch or aged out. Eccentric seemed to move as nut was tightened.

Finally solved. Black gunk deposits in head apparently in valve adjusting part of rocker as well. Eccentric resisted movement. Flushed well with solvent while moving eccentric until completely free.

    Voila

Gene....I know what you're talking about, man! The gunk *sucks*. I guess it's time to put some Delo in the crankcase (or whatever Ryan R. was talking about) to clean up the varnish and other nastiness in my car's top end. Then, it'll be back to M1 0w40.

Three for getting your valve adjustment technique back in shape.

    best, whit
