Mmm... sound like he missed intake manifold gasket and ICV valve.
my 540i/a is running rough yet. changed o2 sensors, tested mass air flow sensors, good compression, new plugs, cleaned & tested injectors. my mechanic went over anything he could think of. he thinks that the problem could be the torque converteris out of balance. it idles a little rough, gets worse around 1200-1400, & then smooths out around 2500. it does this in park or drive or reverse. any help could be usefull.
