I had a grinding with Chevy Impala going 80mph+ on the highway. The driver cut in front of me on the exit, and hit my front end. The only damage I received was a slightly bent fender some scratches on the bumper + cracked side marker light (easy fix). It's amazing how hard E34s are. They should be called T-34 Alan You should be fine, speed isn't the only factor for bumper shocks, there has to be enough force to do any damage. In this case I don't think you have to check them.
