how do i take out the pedal from the floor is there a clip

pry it up, dont think anything holds it but an interference type fit.

there is a clip at the back, i undid it, but it won't pry off, i do see rust under there, could that be blocking?

rip the damn thing out of there, dont let it scare you, worst thing is it breaks...better than breaking the turn signal.
