    Default Remote key question

Can anyone tell me if I can replace my one button remote and separate key with one of the new style flip out keys or a newer style without too much hassle? Is it just a matter of switching chips between remotes and having a key recut? Just curious-hate the look of my old remote. Vain yes but still want to upgrade. By the way the car in question is a 1992 535i manual.

    Hi,

No easy way to the best of my knowledge to do this. It would involve a lot more work than swapping chips. So your best options are to buy an E39, E46, E60, or get a new alarm

    Best,
    Rory

Default Thanks for the thought but...

... I like my car and will just keep the old remote. It was just a thought.
