Reply With Quote6 hours? takes me 2 in my driveway, and one more to drive to the shop to have the bearing pressed. I'm not sure why the bearing needs to be pre-loaded, but it does otherwise it only lasts about 10k miles if that.
propshaft center support bearing
had the center support bearing (csb) replaced last week.took 6 hours all in to replace.paid the shop to press the csb onto prop shaft.the exhaust (from header) and heat shield needs removal.
so,i need your thoughts as to why we need to pre-load the csb after fitting the prop shaft to the car.
