New member, Old 520i owner with some problems

Hi.
New to the forums. Just aquired a 1992 520i. Absolutly love the car.

There are a few problems that i have.
First off: The fuse for the reverse lights and mirrors fails when i switch into reverse. Have replaced the fuse twice but it still fails. (need to find a picture of where the switch is located around the gearbox)
Secondly:I do have a ticking problem (engine).Quite loud.I have read the thread about using a heavier oil . Will try that soon.
Thirdly: There is a roof leak. I suspect it is the sunroof. Dont quite know!
Fourthly: There are some suspension noises. They happen when i ride over speed bumps and over rough road surfaces.

If you have any info that would help me in fixing these problems, would greatly appreciate it.

1) The fuse blows each time you replace it? There might be a short in one of the lights. That happened to my left turn signals... there was an exposed wire touching the other terminal... fuse kept blowing.

2) That's valve noise... normal for an M20

3) Possible sources for leaks... sunroof, or windshield surround...and in some occasions, the door seal.
