Default Replaced front swaybar and front swaybar links

Today I replaced the front swaybar links which looked they had never been changed before and I also added a 27mm front adjustable swaybar.

The swaybar is made by Whiteline who are located in Sydney. They manufacture their own equipment mainly supplying Suburu wrx’s and Mitsubishi evo’s. The front bar retails for aus$260. It comes with the yellow polyurethane bushings and some paste to but between the bar and the mountings. I also bought new swaybar brackets.

The whole job from go to woe took me about 9 hours. A few breaks in between of course. I know this may seem like a very long time for some. The left hand side front swaybar links came off no worries (in about 15 - 20 mins), the driver’s side was a different story though. I could not get the bottom bolt of the swaybar link for the life of me. I finally got it off my jacking up the car two more times to give me more clearance for my breaker bar. Lots of WD40 used.

I took the car for a quick spin and the clunk over bumps is gone. The swaybar seems to do a better good job from initial impressions.

Here are some pics of the swaybar
