    Default GPS install in E34

I am considering installing a Pioneer AVIC-N2 Nav system in my 91 525i. This is a complete radio, CD, DVD, and GPS system that has new headunit plus hideaway. I will be using factory speakers and factory antenna for radio. What problems am I asking for?

the end result is going to be a $1500 head unit into rather mediocre speakers. I have a custom carpc setup, which could be put together for less than $1500 and is more diverse than any 1DIN + Brain NAV since its an actual PC... but still your end result is going to be your sound will be lacking. Also, I am not sure that the AVIC-N2 is a powered head unit, in which case you will have to run an amplifier, and the stock doesnt have RCA in obviously

I am concerned about mediocre speakers also. I chose the Pioneer because it also allows me to do the XM NavTraffic which integrates backups and other road blockage which I can not do with PC based GPS.

I have a USB XM receiver package working on the PC... it receives any and all XM signals like a headunit would etc.

Would I be able to fit the PC and touchscreen in the DIN slot of the headunit. That also is my concern. The AVIC-N2 has a powered Amp and only cost $1599.
